IRS Delays Tax Due Date to July 15 for Estates, Americans Abroad

The Internal Revenue Service is delaying more tax deadlines to July 15 for American taxpayers living abroad, trusts and estates, according to guidance issued today.

  • “The extensions generally now apply to all taxpayers that have a filing or payment deadline falling on or after April 1, 2020, and before July 15, 2020,” according to a press release
  • The IRS last month delayed the tax filing and payment deadline for many individuals and businesses to July 15, but the extension didn’t include several groups of taxpayers
