Immigrant Investor Visa Regulations Sought as Bill Declared Dead

Three prominent lawmakers are asking the Department of Homeland Security to finalize regulations on the EB-5 immigrant investor program now that a legislative deal to overhaul the program appears unlikely.

The regulations, still in the proposal stage, “will generate increased capital investment for the United States economy, and will help ensure that some portion of that capital is actually invested in rural and underserved areas, as Congress intended,” according to an April 5 letter from Sens.
