HP Contractors Settle Pay Discrimination Case for $1.45 Million

Hewlett Packard Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have agreed to pay $1.45 million to resolve allegations of systemic pay discrimination against female employees in several states.

The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs announced the settlement agreements with the California-based contractors on Monday.

In routine compliance evaluations, OFCCP found disparities in compensation between male and female employees working in similar positions at HPI locations in Boise, Idaho, and San Diego, and at HPE sites in Fort Collins, Colo., and Houston, Texas.
