Hiring, Pay Bias Remain Oft-Cited in Labor Dept. Settlements

Hiring and compensation discrimination continue to be the top claims brought by the Labor Department against companies that do business with the federal government, according to a Bloomberg Law analysis of about four dozen agency settlement agreements from the past fiscal year.

The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs has historically targeted hiring and pay bias in its audits of federal contractors and that likely will continue.
