Gulf Coast LNG Production Increases Win Regulator’s Approval (1)

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Thursday authorized two liquefied natural gas facilities to increase their production capacity along the Gulf Coast, deciding the benefits of expansion wouldn’t cause environmental impacts.

The FERC orders authorized Corpus Christi Liquefaction LLC in Texas to boost its LNG production capacity from to 875.16 billion cubic feet a year from 767 billion cubic feet — about a 14% increase. Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC in Louisiana can increase capacity to 1,661.94 billion cubic feet a year from 1,509 billion cubic feet, about a 10% increase.
