Google Faulted in NLRB Memos for Conservative Critic Discipline

The National Labor Relations Board’s advice division twice concluded that Google Inc. unlawfully disciplined an engineer who accused the company of discriminating against conservative workers.

Google settled the case in 2019, but not before it asked the unit inside the NLRB general counsel’s office that advises regional offices to reconsider its earlier finding that the company violated federal labor law. The agency made both advice memos, issued in 2016 and 2018, public on Feb. 14.
