Flight attendants at GoJet Airlines voted overwhelmingly to be represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, becoming the carrier’s second employee group to unionize, election results from the National Mediation Board showed May 18.
Of the 257 flight attendants who voted, 82.9 percent cast ballots for the AFA, while 17.1 percent voted against representation. Turnout was 65.3 percent of the 393 workers eligible to vote.
Next, the NMB is expected to certify AFA as the group’s agent for collective bargaining.
