Fired Highway Officials Can’t Sue Over ‘Ghost Ticket’ Reporting

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety and its current and former commissioner don’t have to face claims by two highway safety officials that they were fired for telling federal officials about a probe into state troopers’ alleged issuance of bogus DUI tickets, the Fifth Circuit ruled.
