Allege McDonald’s Shares Liability for Bias

Ten black and Hispanic fast-food workers fired or constructively discharged from three McDonald’s restaurants in Virginia Jan. 22 sued in a federal district court, alleging McDonald’s Corp. shares liability with the local restaurant franchisee for race discrimination and sexual harassment under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1866 (42 U.S.C. § 1981) (Betts v. McDonald’s Corp., W.D. Va., 15-2, complaint filed 1/22/14).
