PORTLAND, Ore.—A federal judge May 6 dismissed a lawsuit against a new Oregon law that protects workers who decline to attend mandatory employer meetings (Assoc. Oregon Indus. v. Avakian).
Judge Michael Mosman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon dismissed the case saying that it was premature to rule on the merits of the case when no harm had yet been shown .
