Farm Contractor’s $1.85 Million Labor Class Settlement Approved

Mesa Packing LLC’s $1.85 million settlement of a wage and hour class action brought on behalf of migrant and seasonal agricultural field workers was preliminarily approved by a federal court in California but the judge wants more information about proposed incentive awards for the named plaintiffs.

William Miguel-Sanchez, Luis Antonio Meza-Estrada, and Sergio Jimenez-Cruz accuse Mesa of violating California law and the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Workers Protection Act.
