EEOC’s Dhillon Takes Reins, Offers Few Clues

The EEOC has walked a pretty steady line on contentious issues like workplace protections for LGBT individuals and approaches to closing the gender pay gap. The course ahead remains unclear with a new leader at the helm. Victoria Lipnic, who will stay on as a commissioner until July 2020, has turned over the role of chair to Janet Dhillon, a relative unknown in the federal government.

Known Track Record: Lipnic came to the agency after seven years at the Labor Department and a career in public service preceding that stint.
