EEOC Nets $505M for Alleged Workplace Bias Victims in FY18 (1)

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission retrieved $505 million for workers who said they faced discrimination and harassment in fiscal year 2018, the federal civil rights agency announced Nov. 9. That sum is $107 million, or 27 percent, more than the prior year’s monetary collection, according to EEOC data.

The largest collection—$354 million—came through settlements, conciliation, and mediation, the agency said.
