EEOC Member Lipnic Won’t Seek New Term on Civil Rights Panel

Victoria Lipnic, a former acting chair of the EEOC and a champion for eradicating workplace sexual harassment, won’t seek another term with the federal civil rights agency.

Lipnic’s second term as a Republican commissioner on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will expire July 1, and she won’t pursue a third term, multiple sources familiar with the process told Bloomberg Law.

Three seats on the five-person EEOC panel are filled, but the EEOC would lose its quorum once Lipnic’s term expires, which would keep the workplace civil rights agency from voting on significant spending, policy decisions, or big-ticket lawsuits. The...
