EEOC May Contract Out Pay Data Gathering, Raising Security Fears

Business concerns over the security of their employee pay data jumped last week after the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission told a federal judge it would need the help of an outside contractor to meet the court’s demand to collect the pay information.

EEOC selected NORC at the University of Chicago, “an industry-leading data and analytics organization,” for the undertaking, according to a declaration from the agency’s chief data officer, Samuel “Chris” Haffer.
