EEOC Gets Seizure Bias Trial for Fired Army Hotel Housekeeper

A jury must decide if the company that manages a U.S. Army hotel in Wisconsin’s Fort McCoy failed to accommodate and illegally fired a probationary housekeeper because of her seizure disorder, a federal judge ruled.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission can take its Americans with Disabilities Act claims for Leigh Hancock to trial because there are disputed fact issues on several key questions, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin said Thursday.
