EEOC Gets $375,000 for Pregnant Ex-Seattle Tunnel Project Worker

Oatridge Security Group Inc. will pay $375,000 and revamp its workplace policies to resolve an EEOC lawsuit alleging it fired a supervisor on the Seattle Tunnel project because she sought maternity leave and filed a bias charge, court records show.

The Tacoma, Wash.-based security company also failed to properly segregate Sarah Olsen’s private medical information from her other personnel records, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleged. The agency filed the September 2019 suit under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
