Dollar General, Dolgencorp Fined for Unsafe Conditions at Stores

OSHA has issued citations and penalties to Dollar General Corp. and Dolgencorp LLC for alleged safety violations at stores in Florida and Georgia, the US Labor Department said Monday.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued citations for five repeat alleged violations and proposed $710,974 in penalties after inspecting Dollar General stores in Ocala, Fla., according to the department.

One inspection of a Columbus, Ga., store led to citations for two repeat alleged violations and $221,001 in proposed penalties, while an inspection at another Columbus, Ga., store resulted in one repeat alleged violation and $98,219 in proposed penalties, DOL said. ...
