DOL to Probe Antitrust, Money Laundering Whistleblower Claims

The U.S. Labor Department’s worker safety agency will now oversee whistleblower complaints filed under the Criminal Antitrust Anti-Retaliation Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

The agency announced Friday that the DOL’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate complaints of retaliation filed by workers for reporting allegations of money-laundering or antitrust violations.

“Until OSHA issues interim final rules, the agency will process whistleblower complaints related to these statutes using procedures under the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century,” the agency said.
