DOL Contractor Watchdog Asked to Report to Appropriators

A Labor Department subagency that audits federal contractors for workplace affirmative action and nondiscrimination compliance would be directed to report to congressional appropriators if a fiscal year 2018 spending bill is signed into law.

The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs would be tasked with submitting a report to the House and Senate Appropriations committees on the status of its efforts to implement recommendations given to the agency last fall by the Government Accountability Office.
