DOL Attorneys Gain Time to Consider Next Move After Oracle Loss

The U.S. Labor Department now has until December to consider whether to appeal a loss in its lawsuit accusing software giant Oracle America Inc. of deliberately underpaying women and minority employees at its Silicon Valley headquarters.

The DOL’s Administrative Review Board late yesterday granted the request made by attorneys for the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. It gives them until Dec. 7 to consider whether to appeal the loss, according to a document obtained by Bloomberg Law.
