DHL Express Facing New Class Suit Over Unpaid OT, Missed Breaks

DHL Express USA Inc. and its Syracuse-area delivery vendor cheated last-mile drivers out of overtime pay and meal and rest breaks, according to a new lawsuit filed in a federal court in New York.

Lukas Kotecki, who worked for DHL and DCD Delivery Inc. as a “courier driver,” alleges that the companies are liable as joint employers for violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York law. Kotecki seeks to represent other couriers in an FLSA collective and state-law class.
