New Talent System to Speed Hires, Boost Pay at Cyber Agency (1)

The country’s top cybersecurity and homeland security agency is hiring and launching a new talent management system with market-based salaries to entice younger applicants to work for the government.

The Department of Homeland Security’s new Cybersecurity Talent Management System (CTMS) goes into effect Monday and is designed to help the agency fill vacancies and respond to the uptick in ransomware attacks on the public and private sectors. The program will particularly benefit the department’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
