Covid-19 complaints and referrals to OSHA have jumped 581% in the past two months, with Southeastern states continuing to be the primary source of the growing number, the latest data from the agency shows.
For the week ending Aug. 8, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration received 109 complaints and referrals, with 62 sent to OSHA Region 4 covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. The total number is 33% more than the 82 sent during the week ending Aug. 1, and more than a five-fold increase over the 16 filed during the week ending June 20.
