Coronavirus Worries Spark Homeland Oversight from Lawmakers

A bipartisan pair of senators are challenging the Department of Homeland Security to spell out its plans to protect Americans amid concerns that international travelers entering the U.S. could spread a deadly virus from China.

The top Republican and Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs wrote Tuesday to DHS acting Secretary Chad Wolf, pressing him for more information on the department’s efforts to stop the coronavirus, which had killed more than 100 people worldwide as of Tuesday morning.
