Contractor Faces Fine for Violating OSHA Settlement, New Charges

A roofing contractor in Bergen County, N.J., faces more than $600,000 in penalties after allegedly failing to abide by a 2020 settlement crafted with OSHA to make safety improvements.

Lodi-based Janiec Roofing Inc. violated the November 2020 settlement it reached with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for violating fall protection rules and other safety issues, and has been issued 10 more citations after follow-up inspections revealed continued violations, OSHA said in a statement Tuesday.
