Construction Company OKs $250,000 Deal in Long-Running NLRB Case

A Washington, D.C.-area contractor agreed to pay $250,000 to settle the final part of a long-running National Labor Relations Board case involving retaliation against a group of mainly immigrant employees who filed an overtime lawsuit and tried to form a union.

Tito Contractors Inc. will provide back pay to nine former workers, clear their employment records of any references to unlawful discipline and discharges, and issue them personal letters of apology, the National Labor Relations Board announced Tuesday. The settlement agreement isn’t publicly available.
