Worker advocates and the country’s largest health-care union are digging in in their opposition to the Labor Department’s proposal to ease restrictions for teenage workers in health-care settings.
The National Employment Law Project, the Service Employees International Union, and the Child Labor Coalition filed a complaint Feb. 11 with the DOL and the Office of Management and Budget. They allege that the DOL violated the Information Quality Act when it introduced the proposal. The three organizations are requesting a correction or retraction of the proposed rule, according to a letter sent to the DOL and OMB.
