Colorado Senate Sends Hairstyle Anti-Bias Bill to Governor

The Colorado Senate gave final approval to a bill that would bar workplace and other forms of discrimination on the basis of a person’s hairstyle, hair texture, or type.

On a third reading vote of 23-11, the Senate sent the bill (H.B. 1048) to Gov. Jared Polis (D), who is expected to sign it. When he does, Colorado will become the fourth state to pass such legislation.
