A Washington man who says The Wing, a networking and community space provider, didn’t accept his application because of his sex can continue with his lawsuit, a federal judge ruled.

James Pietrangelo sued Refresh Club Inc. and Wing DC LLC, which both do business as The Wing, after he says two employees told him membership is exclusively for women. That’s enough to state a claim for sex discrimination under the public accommodation provisions of the District of Columbia Human Rights Act, Judge Dabney L. Friedrich said in a ruling June 4.
