Civil Rights Agency Alerts 37,000 Employers of Pay Data Deadline

About 37,000 employers that have yet to file wage and hour data with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will receive a phone call to remind them of the agency’s pay data deadline, now only three weeks away.

The agency said in its 2016 burden statement that at least 60,000 employers with 100 or more workers would have to submit pay data. However, the EEOC didn’t confirm that number in its Sept. 6 status report, which shows just the percentage of employers that had filed as of Sept. 5.
