Circus Circus Cleared of Unlawful Termination Claim by NLRB

The National Labor Relations Board threw out a case accusing Circus Circus Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas of unlawfully firing a union carpenter after a federal appeals court had rejected reasons for ruling against the resort and sent the case back to the board.

The NLRB said Thursday that it couldn’t support its prior ruling that Circus Circus violated federal labor law by sacking Michael Schramm without a finding that a supervisor threatened him or that the casino’s justification for the firing was pretextual.
