Case: Labor Relations/Discrimination (N.L.R.B.)

Dec. 2, 2019, 11:19 PM

A plywood manufacturer unlawfully fired an employee who complained on a union-moderated Facebook page about smoky conditions in its plant. An administrative law judge found that the employee’s concerns were shared by co-workers, as their reactions to his posts show, and that the page was not open to the public or even the manufacturer’s supervisors and managers. The case is Roseburg Forest Products Co., 2019 BL 460015, N.L.R.B., 19-CA-213306, 11/29/19.
