A federal court in Illinois refused to dismiss state-law retaliation claims brought by a former senior EEO officer for the Metra transit corporation that operates in suburban Chicago. The EEO officer alleged that she was constructively discharged after objecting to her office being excluded from the process of hiring the company’s new chief human-resources official, who had been the subject of discrimination complaints while at another transit agency.
