Case: Discrimination/Hiring (W.D. Wis.)

A federal district court in Wisconsin finds, in an action brought by the EEOC on behalf of an unsuccessful 64-year-old job applicant, that online auto parts retailer RockAuto LLP may be liable for age bias given evidence of disparate treatment and the use of some subjective criteria in the hiring process. There is evidence that younger applicants, but not the protected-age candidate, were allowed to advance to the next stage in the hiring process for supply chain managers despite not achieving a high-enough screening score and that they also moved forward in the process based only on a subjective evaluation...
