Case: Disability/Failure to Accommodate (D. Colo.)

A former dietary aide for a Colorado hospital who injured her wrist during the course of her employment may proceed with her claim that the hospital failed to properly accommodate her disability. She alleged that her supervisors pressured her into completing her responsibilities faster than her medical restrictions would allow, that the employee relations specialist never looked into this issue when it was brought to her attention, and that the hospital failed to reassign her to shifts that she felt better fit her medical needs. The case is Pena-Flores v. Valley View Hosp. Ass’n, 2020 BL 10966, D. Colo., No. 18-cv-00030-RBJ, 1/13/20
