Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski will face misconduct proceedings, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit announced Dec. 14.
The complaint was based on a Washington Post article and other media coverage which revealed sexual harassment allegations from several former Kozinski and Ninth Circuit clerks, Chief Judge Sidney Thomas said in a Dec. 14 order.
The chief judge initiated the complaint himself and requested that Chief Justice of the United States John G. Roberts Jr. transfer the complaint to another circuit for further action. Roberts assigned the case to the Second Circuit Dec. 15.
