California ‘Employee’ Test Bill Poised for State Senate Vote

A California bill that would enshrine a state Supreme Court ruling in the labor code and turn tens of thousands of independent contractors into employees is getting closer to the governor’s desk as the state Senate prepares to vote as soon as Sept. 10 on the measure.
