In Reversal, Panel OKs California Virus Safety Rule Changes (2)

A proposal to overhaul California’s emergency temporary standard protecting workers from Covid-19 was approved Thursday by the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board, after the board earlier voted to reject the changes.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, or Cal/OSHA, is aiming to have the revisions enacted before Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) June 15 goal to lift most Covid-19 public health restrictions on the public and businesses, such as allowing businesses to operate at full capacity.
