CAIR, Islamic Student Lose Appeal in Suit Over Terrorism Lesson

An Arizona community college district and one of its professors were properly granted judgment in a lawsuit brought by an Islamic student and chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations alleging an online course module on “Islamic terrorism” violated the US Constitution, a divided Ninth Circuit ruled.

The San Francisco-based appellate court reversed the district court’s ruling that CAIR’s Arizona chapter lacked legal standing to join in plaintiff Mohamed Sabra’s lawsuit against the Maricopa County Community College District and professor Nicholas Damask.
