A McDonald’s Corp. restaurant in Florida created a hostile work environment for Black workers and retaliated when they complained through cutting hours, discipline, and assigning grunt work outside of their regular jobs, a federal lawsuit alleges.

The treatment of Black workers at the McDonald’s restaurant in Lakeland, Fla., isn’t isolated and reflects a broader culture at McDonald’s, according to the complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
