Biden’s Pick for DOL No. 2 Slated for Senate Committee Vote

The Biden administration’s nominees for deputy U.S. labor secretary and a pair of Education Department posts will receive a vote in the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on April 21, the panel announced in a web posting Wednesday.

Julie Su, the administration’s pick for second-in-command of the U.S. Labor Department, received a confirmation hearing March 16, and likely faces a close vote in committee on whether to advance her nomination to the full Senate.

Cindy Marten, the nominee for deputy education secretary, appeared before the committee March 24 for a confirmation hearing.
