BGOV Bill Summary: H.R. 3624, Employee Location SEC Reports (1)

Publicly traded companies that file annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission would have to disclose the number of workers they employ overseas and within the U.S. under H.R. 3624.

Companies would have to disclose the number of employees in each U.S. state and territory and in each foreign country, and calculate percentage changes from the previous year.

The measure would apply to companies that file annual reports under the 1934 Securities Exchange Act, and would cover employees who work for their subsidiaries.
