AT&T Sued Over Pension Math Just After Beating Similar Case (1)

Six former AT&T Inc. employees are challenging how the company calculates certain pensions, filing a proposed class action in a California federal court one month after a similar suit was dismissed for lack of standing.

The new lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claims AT&T shortchanges the pensions of workers who retire before age 65 or choose pension formats that pay benefits to their surviving spouses after their deaths.
