Amazon Seeks to Nix Two Claims From Wage-and-Hour Class Action

A group of Amazon fulfillment center workers in California who allege they and others have been cheated out of wages and fair working conditions shouldn’t be allowed to pursue two of their claims, the company told a federal court.

Trevion Sherman and the 27 other workers serving as named plaintiffs in the case failed to adequately allege Amazon.com Services Inc. personally deprived them of pay for times they showed up but were sent home for lack of work, the company said in the Aug. 12 filing.
