Agency Extends Comment Period on Proposed Visa Fees Rule

The public will have an additional 15 days to comment on a proposed rule that would increase fees for businesses that employ foreign workers.

This is the second extension of the comment period for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ proposed fee scheduling rule that was first published in November 2019 with a comment period ending Dec. 16, 2019. That period was extended to Dec. 30, 2019. The comment period will now extend another two weeks, the USCIS announced in a notice expected to publish in Friday’s Federal Register.
