ADA Amendments Act Weighed in 6th Cir. Bias Case

The Sixth Circuit will hear oral argument over whether a federal judge improperly threw out a scrap yard worker’s disability bias lawsuit based on outdated legal standards that Congress amended more than a decade ago. Courts often ignore the impact of the ADA Amendments Act when deciding if a worker had a legally protected disability, legal scholars say.
