Trader Accused of $110 Million Mango Markets Scam to Stay Jailed

A trader charged with rigging the Mango Markets cryptocurrency exchange to steal $110 million has agreed to remain in jail for now.

Avraham Eisenberg made his first court appearance in New York Thursday after being arrested Dec. 26 in Puerto Rico. His lawyer agreed to a request by Manhattan federal prosecutors that he remain in custody, though US Magistrate Judge Jennifer Willis said Eisenberg was free to apply for bail later.
