Goldman Starts a Sustainability Council for Its Investment Bank

Goldman Sachs Group Inc., which last month tightened its policy on fossil fuel financing, formed a council within the company’s investment bank to help bankers advise clients on sustainability.

Jonny Fine, who runs the investment-grade syndicate group for the Americas, and John Greenwood, who co-manages project, infrastructure and principal finance, are co-chairs of the council, according to an internal memo sent by investment-banking heads Gregg Lemkau and Dan Dees.
