Blue Apron Slapped With Investor Lawsuit Over IPO

Meal delivery service Blue Apron violated federal securities laws by including false and misleading statements in the documents for its initial public offering, an investor claimed in a suit in federal court in New York.

In his Aug. 17 lawsuit, shareholder Rustem Nurlybayev said the company didn’t disclose problems with advertising spending, delayed and incorrect orders, or that a new factory that was supposed to account for production of over half of the meals was experiencing delays (Nurlybayev v. Blue Apron Holdings Inc., E.D.N.Y., 17-cv-04846, complaint filed 8/17/17).
